Skills such as taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and waving “bye bye” are known as developmental milestones. Children reach milestones regarding how they play, learn, speak, behave, and move (crawling, walking, etc.). View the expected milestones, compliments of the Center for Disease Control, for a comprehensive list of milestones for children ages two months to five years old.
Early Learning GPS
The Early Learning GPS is an interactive online tool where families answer up to 10 questions to get great tips and reliable resources on helping their child learn and grow. Create a free map for your child to follow their milestones, save fun activities that will help them learn and grow, and compare childcare programs. All information is from reliable sources such as PA’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning.
Online Questionnaire
Children develop skills, or “milestones,” at their own pace. How is your child doing? You only need 10-20 minutes to check with the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition through Easterseals. Your ASQ-3™ results will help you see if your child’s developmental progress is on time and alert you to concerns that you can talk about with your health care provider.
