Who we are:

The Red Strikers Bowling Club has been going strong for more than 35 years. It was started by a group of parents looking for activities for their children with special needs. Many of the original members are still bowling each week. This club is run by volunteers, many who are family or friends of a bowler and show up 52 weeks a year to make sure everything runs smoothly.

The club bowls every Saturday at 12 noon. New members are always welcome and you only need to show up at ABC East Lanes between 11:30am-11:45am to join! The cost is $6.00 per week which includes 2 games and shoe rental. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at:

EIC serves eligible infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with special needs through the collaboration between the Capital Area Intermediate Unit #15 Preschool program, Cumberland/Perry Mental Health/Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Infant/Toddler program, Dauphin County Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities Infant/Toddler program, Capital Area Head Start, Shippensburg Head Start, and the South Central District office of the Department of Health. Learn more by downloading the Local Agency Coordinating Council (LICC) Agreement. Meetings intended for families and early intervention professionals.

We have a safe place, meeting EACH MONTH, for you to connect with other caregivers who understand the things you are dealing with and find the support you need as a caregiver. – In this support group, we talk about stress, self-care, family dynamics, and more. – We want to care for you as you care for your loved one(s). The last twenty (20) minutes of the meeting will focus on relaxation techniques and your loved ones are welcomed to join us at that time.

3rd Friday Night Party

The 3rd Friday Night Party meets on the 3rd Friday Night of each month from 7-9pm at the Swatara Township Building, 599 Eisenhower Blvd, Harrisburg, PA 17111.

The cost is $2.00 per person to cover the cost of refreshments.

We have a variety of activities each month including Bingo, dances, games, sing alongs, and crafts.
