Ellie Park will be working with your 3-7 year old children, helping them to create their own stories that are honest, meaningful, funny, and uncoerced. At the start of each session, she will engage the children with some form of inspiration, and then she will facilitate an environment for uncontrived, spontaneous story creation. The children will write and illustrate a story from their own imagination (perhaps elicited by the day’s inspirational piece). Children who cannot write yet will need the assistance of an adult only to write down their orally narrated story. The children will write wonderful stories – when given time and space and an unimposing facilitator, their imaginations will bubble over into something that surprises even their parents! All stories will be written and drawn on cardstock and bound at the end of class as keepsakes for the parents to take home.
