Often, when an individual with autism enters the justice system, their support team will feel that nothing could have been done to prevent the circumstances from occurring. However, this is not the case. This presentation will explore how support teams can proactively identify risks, and the strategies that can be implemented with the individuals they are supporting, in order to mitigate risks that increase the likelihood of entering the criminal justice system.
