The tale begins when the miller brags to the king that his beautiful daughter can spin straw into gold. The king brings the daughter into the palace and orders her to perform this feat. Unable to do so, as the daughter is bewailing her fate, a droll-looking man enters the scene and the intrigue begins. Performed by Artistic Director Robert Brock with marionettes he created.
Back stage tours will be offered and the John Durang Puppet Museum and the Puppet Shop are open before all performances.
