Mikayla’s Voice 9th Tri for Inclusion ~ June 29, 2024. 8:00am.
This is NOT just an event for children with disabilities, but an inclusive race for everyone ~ a race for kids of ALL abilities.
Plus, Mikayla’s Voice Tri for Inclusion is much more than a race. It is a priceless opportunity for all kids and young adults, and an important message for our entire community.
Every year, on a Saturday late in June no one in the Lehigh Valley is left on the sidelines. Kids of all abilities compete side-by-side and together in something they had likely not dreamed possible or ever planned to do and show our entire community that there is always a way to include everyone in everything.
It is difficult ~ if not impossible ~ to fully express just how wonderful this day is. Everyone enjoys a wonderful sense of accomplishment ~ athletes for having participated and finished, and volunteers for having made it all possible.

Current race distances include a 75 yard swim, 2 mile bike and .5 mile run.
The swim will utilize Parkland High School’s eight-lane indoor pool. Athletes will complete three laps ~ 75 yards. Lifeguards provided by Northwest Swim Club.
The bike is a hilly and challenging two-mile course so athletes should train for the hills and be prepared. Bikers will exit behind the high school, make a left onto Orefield Road, pass Ritter Road, continuing to the intersection at Lapp Road where they will turn around and proceed back to the high school following the same route. All roads will be closed for the duration of the bike ride.
The half mile run utilizes the flat, even drive around Parkland High School, starting on the poolside and finishing at the front entrance.
Cetronia Ambulance will be on site and on the bike course for the duration of our event should emergency services be needed.

Event Timeline: Packet pick-up will be Friday, June 28,2024 from 4-7pm at Parkland under the large tent in the front of the school. All individual athletes and relay team captains should plan to pick-up their race packets and t-shirts. We can walk the athletes and families through the steps to follow Saturday morning upon arrival. This is a good time for teammates to spend a bit of time together before the big day and ask any questions they may have about race day. Saturday packet pickup is also available 6:30-7:30 am Transition area opens on Race day at 6:30 am. Award Ceremony will begin as soon as the last athlete has finished, approximately 10 am.
Awards: Top 3 overall Male & Female will be awarded. Top 3 M&F in the following age groups will also be recognized: 6&U, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-16, 17+
