We are the Dickinson Friends, a community service program that pairs volunteers and individuals with disabilities (mental or physical) from the Carlisle Community. We aim to meet and host free events on a biweekly basis in which we hope to create connections and foster relationships.
Our first event is Friday, November 2nd beginning at 1:30 until 4:30 for an event called Weed and Feed. This event occurs at the Dickinson College Farm in Boiling Springs. Over the course of the three hours individuals volunteer and weed as well as plant and harvest at the farm. There will be time to visit the animals and have snacks afterward. It is a great opportunity to be in the community as well as a great chance to get to know each other. ALL AGES ARE WELCOME.
