Agency: Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU)
Role: Early Intervention Service Coordinator
Years worked in EI: Birth to three 6 years, Preschool Program 4 months
Favorite pastime: Story Time, every Saturday I enjoy taking my son to Story Time, walking around afterwards, discovering new treasures (books to read) and then sipping a good cup of coffee or tea.
Favorite children’s book: On the Night you were born by Nancy Tillman is the most beautiful book I ever read. Love Monster by Rachel Bright is cute and has a good moral behind it. Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss is so much fun!
Favorite toy as a child: My Little Pony, Barbie, He-Man and She-Ra.
The best part about working in EI is: Helping the kids and their families obtain the services they need to enhance skills and become even more successful. See the children overcome their challenges.
In this “Getting to Know You” series, we will periodically feature one of our dedicated therapists, teachers, and service coordinators from the birth to three and preschool programs in Central PA. Check back with us often to get to know the wonderful people we have in our early intervention system — you may see some familiar faces!
