Other Information The hospital is one of 22 Shriners Hospitals throughout North America. (Another Shriners hospital is in Erie, PA.) In addition to treating children with routine and complex orthopaedic problems, the Philadelphia Hospital provides a comprehensive and individualized rehabilitation program for children and adolescents who have received a traumatic injury to their spine. The hospital may provide assistive technology to children who receive health care services through one of their hospitals. Assistive technology devices may be borrowed or purchased. The amount of funding that may be provided for the purchase of assistive technology devices is based on individual need and the availability of other resources.
