Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF) is a statewide, non-profit organization that helps individuals with disabilities and older Pennsylvanians acquire the assistive technology devices and services they want. PATF is a state and federally-certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and is the Commonwealth’s designated Alternative Financing Program (AFP) under the federal Assistive Technology Act. PATF is one of 42 AFPs and state financing entities in the U.S. and territories.

PATF’s mission is to provide education and financing opportunities for people with disabilities and older Pennsylvanians, helping them to acquire the assistive technology devices and services that improve the quality of their lives.

Any consumer with a disability, their family member or primary caregiver may apply for a cash loan for the purchase of assistive technology, including computers, vehicles (as long as they are or will be modified), and home modifications.Loans may be available to individuals who are not candidates for conventional bank loans.
