PHA is a trade association program that represents agencies that provide homebound services prescribed to people that qualify for homebound care.
PHA website provides information on 240 agencies in Pennsylvania that offers a wide range of medical and personal care and social services. These services are delivered at home to recovering, disabled, chronically or terminally ill adults and children in need of treatment and assistance of daily living. Services may include nursing, physical therapy, counseling, light housekeeping, transportation and assistance with bathing and meal preparation.
There are three types of agencies in PA:
- Licensed Medical/Certified: delivers homecare to Medicare recipents by providing brief and intermittent skilled nursing and at least one therapeutic service such as physical therapy, speech therapy, or occupational therapy and home care aids services
- Licensed: delivers homecare that does not accept Medicare payments
- Private Duty Non-Medical: homecare such as meal preparation, bathing and light housekeeping.
Speaker's Bureau - provides speakers regarding any homecare industry concerns
