My name is Hope Johnson. I love American history, especially learning about the Civil War and the period after that. Reading literature, listening to Mercy Me and a good, invigorating discussion about life in general are favorite past times of mine. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, going to art museums and listening to a good book on CD.

This sounds like the average life of a thirty-something-year-old, doesn’t it? While I consider my life “normal,” I have to specifically tell my body each movement to make—to mentally tell it to “behave” in certain situations every day of my life.

I have Cerebral Palsy, which means I have to use my mind to control each and every bodily movement. I do not let this stop me, though. Throughout my life, I have met with adversity, true. With every challenging situation, though, I been able to rise to the occasion and, in the end, found that it made me stronger.

Through this blog, I plan to go in depth about my life experiences and will strive to convey that with persistence, anything is possible. As my story shows, the world can be at your fingertips with a little bit of Hope.

Thank you in advance for following me on this journey!  Stay tuned for my first blog post!
